I like this it builds the first 11 lines I am was thinking you seem to have got evil mixed up. Then I am hit with it Silenced my objections- No means No. From then on we see the true face of evil great work, good luck in the competition.

I'm not sure seduction, by any gender, is quite as evil as this poem contends it is. People who make a life plan of seduction raise our eyebrows and stimulate the indignation of Bible thumpers, but the sex drive is so powerful in many individuals that its influences are probably simplified and trivialized in the moral accounting that's done. In addition, the speaker in this poem realizes she chose this pathway ("I knew the cost of evil"). Anyway - many people are almost slaves to lust, and this is not their fault, at least not completely. It's a Darwinian component of the survival struggle, and people who fail according to the general opinion are often less to blame than is thought. Of course, this doesn't apply to assault and rape.
By the way, I was no Don Juan myself. I just think we simplify what drives people to sexual excesses.

Thank you for your review. I understand that the sex drive in men is normally more powerful than that of women. It's the woman's responsibility to not give in to the transient physical pleasure of sex. It's a great temptation!

Thank you, Dolly. I hope you've recovered from the experience. I'm guessing you learned a lot from it!

This poem was darkly enchanting. I think you got the concept of "temptation" down perfectly in this poem. Thank you so much for sharing, and best wishes to you.

This is a great entry for the temptation contest! There's
Impact with the repetition of the word evil used with face, voice, touch, and the person you spent nights with. Nice one Colorado Owl!
Oh, by the way, live in Colorado Springs! Where are you?

Ooo this was well written. "Awakening fires that silenced my objections" is such a poignant line. Once the heart is involved it's terribly difficult to use your head. The ending stanza wrapped up the consequences and feelings of remorse concisely and skillfully. Nice work
