if we think about the memories we
have stored up over the years, we
can become nostalgic, and maybe
get caught up in that so things
are better than what they really are.
-Even though words may elude us at times,
and we don't know what to say or think,
eventually something makes sense and
we can have an aha moment and say
now I get it. Well done.

Thank you. And yes, there is another veil. I was granted a 20 minute view of eterenity. Truly.
I know, it's like telling someone
you were captured by Martians, then released. But it did happen.
Unbelievable. If interested, I wrote a poem about it. "Parking Lots, Dusk, and Dust." For an explanation of said poem, I would refer you to the review by Pat Medium. I dare say, it would be worth your time. But who am I to say? BTW, speaking of Martians...my daughter has a masters in Computer Engineering from the U. of Illinois. She worked on the Landrover that's on Mars.

Beautifully written and yes, it does resonate.
I'm about to retire (I'm 59) and I can't believe it. Besides I became a grandma in December and it's difficult to believe... My kids were little just yesterday (or so it seems).

Interesting. I paint also. Since I can't draw stick figures, and I started painting to explore/improve the right hemisphere of my brain...so imagine my surprise when people started telling me they liked my paintings. Just floored me.

Very good nostalgic poem Victor. Rhymes and rhythm helps your reader to get involved with your memorable trip. I reminisce a lot through music and old photos. Sometimes that's good and sometimes bad. Thanks for sharing this with us.
