A beautiful, God-Honoring 5-7-5. Just one small comment: It may be more grammatically correct if your second line red, "Gethsemane's garden sweat". Just a small suggestion.

-Very nice artwork and presentation, teafor2.
-The syllable count is good, along with the topic.
-You set the scene very well with Jesus' prayer
in the garden of Gethsemane.
-A very good concluding line that
shows the beauty that came from sacrifice.
-A good entry; good luck in the contest.

That's a pleasant image and well presented, thanks for sharing. Difficult to say more about a form which is so short.
You might want to change the final word on the third line I know you mean sweet and that is how I read it. Otherwise it is not quite so pleasant.

Roy, I also read that Mary's tears caused this particular flora to grow
and thus, the Easter Lilies, and here may be others...I saw/read that it's recognized as Christian Symbolism for the Resurrection. teafor2

But Mary?s one of us, Matthew 12:46-50.

Roy, I've even read that lilies grew in the Garden of Eden where Eve's tears of
    remorse fell. teafor2

I'd never heard of this before. (Don't ask me how I avoided it as everyone in my family that I've asked has heard of this!)

The reason, then, that Lilies are the flower of Easter, I wonder?

It's such a lovely thought for Holy Saturday.

Happy Easter tomorrow!

karenina, another story says Mary's tears caused this particular flora
to grow and thus, the Easter Lilies...I am sure their are others, but like
you wrote: "It's such a lovely thought for Holy Saturday." Ditto for

I admired this Easter poem. I might add an apostrophe after "Jesus" to make it possessive, but I understand if you want to leave it as is. It is, of course, your poem. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

**rating revised up after author edit **

Nice visual presentation! Just two things. (And they are actually the same thing):

-since it looks like you are trying to make a 5-7-5 Haiku, the first line only has four syllables

-I think you mean to write "Jesus's prayer". (Or, Jesus' without the extra s is fine too). With this update, your piece will make grammatical sense.

Please shoot me back a message after you edit this and I will bump this up a star.

Thanks for the read, and happy Easter!

SS

A lovely retelling of the Easter story through lilies. There are several flowers with stories associated with Easter but the lily is probably the most well known. Thank you for sharing. wishing you a blessed Easter. Marilyn
