Thank you for sharing this contest entry with us. Yes, abuse is not okay and no child should ever have to live with abuse or see a parent suffer from abuse. Good luck with this contest.

A good Loop poem, June about abuse and the fact that it is not okay and should not be tolerated. I like the wedding picture you've used, for often it is after the I do's that abuse starts. Well done and good luck in the contest.
cheers,
valda

This is very well written in the loop format. You do one of the better jobs of loop poetry of all of the writers righteous. I enjoyed listening to it very much and it makes a lot of good sense. And I agree no one should be abused in any form, whether they be children or be old people everybody deserves respect. Patricia Happy

This loop poem, Okay to Leave, has the proper formatting and is directed to those who have had to become survivors of abuse in their own homes. ..........

Wow, I'm impressed! This loop poem speaks for the troubled children who are neglected or abused in some other way and I can relate to this as I was neglected as a child too much so that I had to raise myself. Now, I stand strong well sort of I am wheelchair bound but I still stand up for myself and other folks who need support and guidance on their way to living life to the fullest!

Kudos for a well-crafted Loop poem that holds a profound and realistic message.
Abuse of any kind is reprehensible.
I shudder to think of it and its many victims.
Thank you for sharing!
Happy Easter, June!
Fondly,
diane

It seems to be much worse these days, abuse was around in my day, but in a different form, I think the teachers were worse than students, including damaged veterans from WW2, this is beautifully written June, blessings Roy

There is so much abuse that's hidden behind the walls of a supposedly "loving" home. It's so difficult to "leave the past behind and seek help", especially for the youngest ones who learn to think this is "normal". Thank you for these words that need to heard by everyone!

Great message in your looping poem and great job with the required rhyme scheme! So often the victims of abuse become so used to it that they forget there is a way out. Best wishes in the contest!
