What a fascinating and very comprehensive account of K2 and its history! This is beautifully and engagingly written with not one error noted. It literally sent chills through me as you expanded on those heroic climbs and some of the tragedies that befell the mountaineers. This is something I would never wish to do personally but I'm aware that it has an addictive beauty about it which keeps climbers in its thrall. Thank you for sharing this illuminating read and I wish you luck in the contest! Debbie

Thanks, Debbie. Climbing a mountain is an exciting and beautiful thing to do, but it is very difficult.

Wow, that's remarkable! I'm very impressed (being such a wimp myself!)

You may be underestimating yourself. It?s hard work, but you might find the feeling of accomplishment worthwhile while seeing great beauty all around you.

This is a fascinating story about a mountain I've never heard of. I think Everest gets the lion's share of attention. Whatever is in the DNA of these climbers is not in mine. I cannot understand the need to conquer a mountain just because it's there! This is a very well-told and engaging article. I've now learned something today!
Julie :-)

Thank you, Julie. Not just because it's there. Because it can be done. It is very difficult, though.
