As a fellow coffee connoisseur, I have to agree with your piece while heartedly and 100%.
Stronger the better and it puts me in a great mood and gets me moving. Have seen a lot of coffee poems, but this one tops them all!

Yes, that first morning cup is always the best one of the day.
Ours is set to brew at 3:30am so when we get up, it's fine, complete and ready to go.
Your poem gave me a smile, had a good cadence and rhyme.

This made me smile! I am not much of a coffee drinker, but when I have it it must be good quality. I can't drink it past mid-morning though. Thanks for sharing. Strong and sweet to avoid being grouchy. Perahps I should drink more!

I'm with you, I can't live without my coffee in the morning. Depending on the day, I sometimes overdo it. I can drink it morning, noon and evening. My oldest daughter takes it to extremes, drinking it before she goes to bed. It doesn't seem to affect her. I don't like coffee that is so strong it's bitter, and I never buy coffee from a drive through. I see how many people spend over a hundred dollars a month on something they can make at home, and it puzzles me. Great poem gal. Keep drinking that java.

It never affected me until I hit sixty. Now I limit myself to one cup a day. I'm glad you could enjoy this one. Gretchen

Thank you for your humorous poem. I definitely know a couple of people who fit this description to a t. I would be the first to offer them a cup of java in the morning if they forget or skip it.

My husband awakes anywhere from 3:30 am to 5:30 am each morning, and he immediately brews 12 cups of coffee: he enjoys one or two cups, and he leaves the rest for me! Wahoo!
