Hi Gypsy, your poem has good sensory appeal. I like your word play on ... dollars. Great photo choice. Your message is powerful. Well done.

In any place with great wealth we can expect to see poverty as well. We know it happens, and yet we cannot think of how to improve matters. We start by opening our eyes.

When I think of the boardwalks on the beaches, I've been to, to be perfectly honest, I've never thought of the human people. I recall seeing any there. I have seen them in many other places. I am going to be cautious the next time and see. If so, I will share with them.

Such a sad poem. There are people living like this. I love the places that have friend meals. People will pay for a meal and the restaurant will forward that meal to someone down on their luck. Beautiful tradition. I love the double meaning behind the sand dollars. Great poem. Gretchen

The words ring true to the reality of the homeless.
It is something we see everyday. Perhaps in such States as California more tgan others.
Heartfeltand sobering words in your Naani.

Maybe the Snack Shack worker will have a kind heart and collects sand dollars. Hopefully, the homeless man will get a meal. Often they know when to go through the garbage when the expired time of food has to be thrown away...

Gretchen told me you can buy a "friend' meal for someone who needs it.

Excellent, yes, moments like these we have to feel for the homeless people, as what we take as a treat, they would just love to be able to eat, a wonderful Naani poem, very well written and presented****kahpot
