Yes, even "perfect couples" have that kind of interchanges. After all, we're all human and it's the adapting to one another and growing in love that makes a "perfect couple."

Thank you, Helen. I'm sad for people who want their mate to create happiness for them all the time. Committment goes out the window and, what could have been a wonderful life-love fades away. Thank you for reading and commenting.
Blessings,
Deb

Relationships are never easy, who you kidding. But lucky for some, they find it better than the alternative. Me, I don't like toothaches or aggravation, so I avoid a relationship like the plague. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

You're right - it's hard letting another person into your 'inner sanctum'. But you gain a lot, too. But, even Paul advised against it. lol. And that guy knew a LOT! :) I've been with the same guy since 1984 (except for a 7 year haitus we took in the early 2000s - lol) I had life without him. I chose to let him back in. MOST of the time... totally worth it.
Blessings and thanks again for reading!

I'm glad it works for you all! I've said I'd never do it again, but sometimes being along gets old too. :-)

There's nothing better than a partner who is committed for life, I genuinely have the best wife, my girls the best mum, and my grands the best Nannie, I am the booby prize Deb. Together for 53 years, Bless you Roy,

I doubt your wife or fam would feel like you're the boobby prize! lol. You get out of it what you put into it. If they're winners, that says much about your 53 years together. Steve and I are quite a bit behind - 40 years this July. It IS a blessing! As is your exceptional rating - thank you.
Blessings to you and yours, too,

Very, very relatable and cathartic to read your humorous verse, well complemented by the image. Love the "Whoof!" I must remember that before I launch into a tirade of abuse. It has the effect of giving pause. As does the space before the last line. They may drive us bananas but we wouldn't be without them. Well done, Debora! Take care Debbie

Thank you, Debbie! I did without him for 7 long years and chose to have him back. Long story, of course, but life is in the learning. Or learning is in the life... I like 'whoof', too. My fam knows that's almost a curse word for me! lol.
Thanks again and blessings,
Deb
