I am sorry this was entered into the wrong contest (or whatever went wrong). It was a lovely poem with the 5-7-5 syllable count and wonderful rhymes. I only wonder about the "earth stars" part. Is it meant to be plural? Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

Thank you so much for your kind review. I appreciate it very much. I was a little puzzled as to whether it was supposed to be the S after stars are us after earth. It didn?t really make sense to me how it should happen so I left it as it was, not too late to change the form my yes, but there?s so many rules to this particular contest that it would have to change the momentarily and I did not want to do that. Pat.

I went out to catch some of the partial eclipse we got in my part of the country. I love that you were able to find a picture of the total eclipse to highlight your poem with.

Thank you so much for your very kind review. We only had a partial eclipse here as well, but I was able to watch the eclipse as it marched through the country on the TV and there were many spectacular shots of it. Patricia .

Thank you so much for your very kind review. I did not see the eclipse here because we only had a partial eclipse here. My daughter tried to do a pinnacle camera and tried to show it to me with that, but it didn?t show for me because the spot was just too small for me to be able to see with my vision problems, but I did managed to listen to the TV and I got to see the total eclipse in several different places as it moved across the land. Some people told me that I could change the poem so that it would meet the qualifications for the contest, but I would have to change it so much that it wasn?t going to be pleasing to me. I like what I wrote and I will standby it.

Somebody said that I could change the wording of it to make it fit the format for the contest, but I choose not to do it because I have to work on my iPad because of my vision and it?s very difficult for me to change that much. Thank you so much for your kind of you. I?m choosing not to adjust the words because I want the black with the white font and it?s just too hard for me to go back and correct it so I will just leave it as being something that did not work out it?s still a good poem as far as I?m concerned.
