Oh Deb, I don't know if I loved the words of your poem or your notes the best. The poem was absolutely amazing. Your meter and rhymes are spot on. The truth is told and you told a little on me, in fact. Sometimes I wonder if I don't get so wrapped up in technology that I put that first.
Days I don't pray as much as I should and I would hope that it isn't more important to me than the Almighty, but wow, there are days when I just can't get enough done as I have too much going on.
Thank you for this eye awakening poem. It truly was refreshing and I loved how you also stay humbled recognizing that we all fall short.
Awesome job, my friend. Thanks so much for this one! Love, Debi

Debi, THANK YOU!
Prayer can be tricky. We're supposed to 'pray without ceasing', right? I've begun to understand that as simple gratitude expressed to the Father in a single thought or sentence, as a quick prayer for a friend, family member, someone you see in distress, or the guy/gal that the ambulance/police are on their way to help. I'm NO expert but I love to begin my day with acknowledging who He is to me . "Blessed are You, Lord God, creator of all that is, my Rock, my firm foundation, my new song, my deliverer..." and it's a bit different every day. I miss some mornings, of course. I get up and get going too fast, too. I try to pray as I read the Bible but, honestly, sometimes I just meditate on a part of a verse. That's prayer, too, for me. But, yeah, it's tough to keep that important conversation going. And the LISTENING part... Oi! lol
I get hung up on the technology, too. I listen to my books and Bible via my phone, magnify things I need to see, have the phone read me stuff, have the computer read me stuff... I spend hours on it a day and seldom text or talk! lol. I think, like everything else, it's motivation; why are you on the device? And, ohhhh, I do have this game I get stuck playing sometimes, too! (●'◡'●) We're all guilty of that.
I admire so much that you admit a place of vulnerability as we 'speak'. We're all in that same boat, though, rowing as best we can.
Thank you again for such a beautiful review. I'm glad you enjoyed and were challenged by it and hope I'm not coming off as some kind of church-lady snob! I'm with you all the way!
Blessings and hugs,
Deb

I really enjoyed your poem, Debs. You're right, the computer comes in handy for so many things, but I still get it wrong. You need to be learning computer tech at three years old to work it out. By the time they reach four, they have it all sussed out.
God doesn't expect us to be perfect, but He does like us to at least try. Like you, I often fail. I hear Him release a big sigh everytime I do something wrong. Lol. Well done, my friend. Warmest hugs, Sandra xxx

Thanks, Sandra! Isn't it a blessing that He doesn't expect us to put into the relationship what HE puts in... Yikes. That would be a nightmare! We're so blessed!
And, yup, I use the computer/phone too much, too, and often have to call one of my teen-grandkids to come fix what I messed up! lol
Blessings and hugs, sweet friend,
Debs

Comparing wisdom, thought, and knowledge. Being so connected virtually, we are able to learn about any and almost all subjects at our own pace and in our own time. Yet, no matter how much we can learn online we still need to know there is knowledge out there were do not fully understand but that is there. Faith gives us direction and smarts that you can't find on the internet.

Absolutely. There's so much! Ancient wisdom is so often the best. I love Proverbs (pro verbs) and so many of the old writings.
thanks for reading and leaving your thoughts, Mia!
Blessings,
Deb

Amen! And while there is so much knowledge shared on the internet, there is also a lot of hateful speech, attacks, and conspiracies. So it is best to focus on the wisdom from above. Great message, Deb!

Yes, even old unworthy sinners like me are welcomed with open arms by our forgiving God. It doesn't seem right that with all my shortcomings I'd still be accepted. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

I get that, Ric! And I feel the same way. I have so much that I've been given (not material, but other gifts) that I worry I'm not doing enough to share that. This year's word for me is 'completion'. And my phrase is 'Sarah laughed' from when she heard the angel promise Abraham a baby. She was 'too old', just like me. But God is never too old or too sick of us to work through us. What a blessing that truly is!
Many thanks and blessings your way,
Deb

Thank you for sharing this NaPoWriMo Contest entry #9 with us. I use computers a lot but am one of those people who believe we have come to rely on technology way too much. All knowledge comes from God. I am grate for the grace He gives us.

Absolutely! I depend on the technologies ALL the time. I enlarge print here on the computer and on a CCTV (for print things). I magnify and snap photos with my phone and listen to all my books on audio... I hate to admit how much I use them. But for wisdom, it's God all the way!
Blessings and many thanks,
Deb
