I enjoyed that you wrote this poem in such a conversational tone that it read as much like a story as a poem. That being said, your rhymes are well-chosen, and the only minor hiccup I encountered in rhythm was with, "Sun will shine brightly once again." While your syllable count was correct, the stresses (iambics) were a bit off. Otherwise, your poem paints a picture that's easy to see and feel. Well done.

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing. I appreciate your letting me know about that, and I will read over it and see what I can do.

This is a very interesting and well written poem about major storms. We have those at times too. Our cats really get scared when we are not there with them. Great descriptive words and great imagery. Love and blessings, Teri

Thank you. We don't get them often, but when we do they are something major. Knocked something like over 35,000 people's power out and closed schools and government offices today.

Oh no! That is a really bad one. I remember when I was a young girl we would have really bad storms and tornado threats all the time. Thankfullyl it's not that bad now. We do get our share of storms though.
