FM Wright,
Congrats on your win in the 1-6-1 poem contest. Your three line poem captures the all too common life experience of millions of us who suffered the correction of the belt that stirred us in the right direction. Sadly, today this experience no longer is allowed when raising children.
I wish I had 6 stars to give. This 1-6-1 poem however is deserving of 10 stars+
All the best,
Eugene

This was painful to read, but I mean that in a good way. Your 1-6-1 poem is both moving and upsetting. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

Thank you for the review. I don't ever remember having been whipped as a child, though a psychologist once told me I had been abused by my mother as one. I don't remember this either. I do appreciate your review and comments.

I don't think hitting children is the way to bring them up. Violence only teaches them to be violent parents when they have children and so the cycle continues. Beatings are abusive and no good will ever come of it. Discipline can be learned by the withdrawal of privileges, a poignant post, love Dolly x x x

You say this, but God's word says spare the rod and spoil the child. I count on His word for the best advice.I do thank you for your review and for sharing your thoughts.
