Cold weather and cold emotions can reinforce each other, and the harshness of the natural world reflects the harshness of humans. We wish we could somehow change this set of circumstances.

Such an emotional moment. The snowy peaks more giving and less chilly than the one look from someone you love. And , apparently, thought they loved you. Amazing what secrets the eyes give away. Gretchen

I have often wondered about when eyes meet. Often there is a connection, but not always. Some say the eyes are windows to our souls. Hmm, I'm pretty sure they are. Once again, a beautiful presentation.

Methinks this is more a Senryu feeling poem. Consider 'snowy mountain peaks' . Whether intentional or not, peaks/peeks connect with 'look.'

I guess the other person is as cold and distant like the snow on mountain peaks. That's so sad. I wonder how they will be able to warm up the relationship and speak openly with one another.
