Hahaha. Cute picture that match your words just right.

Years ago, a piano student of mine was getting her end-of-lesson candy (well, it has to be a GOOD lesson in order to get the candy...), the rule for which is "one piece of candy for each talented hand." I wasn't watching her; I was busy putting things away and getting ready to leave. At the door, she handed me one piece of candy and said, "Here. By mistake I took three." "Oh, thank you for being so honest," I told her. She said, "If I'd eaten it, it would've tasted like guilt." Your poem evoked that delightful memory.

This is an excellent entry for the mouse poem contest
with very good rhymes and a clever ending.
Reading Crime and Punishment could be a never ending
task for the mouse.
Well done.
Good luck in the contest.

I really enjoyed your poem. I especially love the picture of the mouse. Crime and Punishment is a difficult book to tackle . Very well written. I wish you the very best in the contest.
With kind regards
