Ciao poet, you now have two votes.
Your poem makes a point and like you applied it to a poem in your notes.
Van Gogh is one of my all time favourite painters , he applied thick paint "impasto" to the canvas that gave a sense of motion and much emotion to his work.
Vincent's brush strokes tell us much about him and his moods while he was painting.
My mother was a painter ( and sculptor) and she used a palette knife at times. My favourite was a close up of a bull and the torero .. it seemed alive and I could feel all the drama of the moment.

Thank you so much.

At times our first impression of someone is negative but if we take the time and effort to look more closely , we could be surprised to find things about that person that we actually like. 😐

Well said! A lovely abstract painting with a resonating message! Your metaphor could also apply to life in general, avoiding blanket dismissals of people and situations. An impressive entry for the monostich. No errors noted:)) Good luck! Debbie

I think I might have used the word metaphor, it should perhaps have been allegory. Thank you for the review.

Or analogy? But I'm quite happy with metaphor (rightly or wrongly)
-
Oh, may be yes.
