Hi Shirley.
This is a well written poem about all the ways you can feel the spirit of a loved one who has died. It shows the grief recedes as memories catch hole.
Congrats on placing third in the contest,
Keep writing and stay healthy
Have a great day.
Joan

A beautiful poem and I can relate to the signs you describe with such lilting grace. Congratulations on placing in the contest.

Grief is quite complex especially when children and grandchildren are also involved

I won't bore you with too many details but when my husband passed my youngest grandchild (his favourite ) found two blue jay feathers on the same day. Since then the family associates blue jays with him.

Blessings, Julia

This is a beautiful and heartfelt write.

The touch of her hand, her face, her song: these are physical reminders of the person who is no longer there that play on the senses; touch, sight and hearing. The hopping of the robin and the flutter of the butterfly's wings, as well as the shadow brushing by seem to be representations of the fact that she existed and is still very much alive in the narrator's heart.

A very good entry to the "emotions contest". I feel the words could either apply to an earthly love or to The Lord Himself. This was a great approach to the theme and hope you do well.

Hi Shirley Ann, your poem hit the target for the contest, and your writing has good sensory appeal. Of special note;

You are the love that never dies
(And that is all that any of us need.)

Well done. Beautiful photo choice. As this is a contest entry, I wish
you good luck. Xo. M

Wonderful and heartfelt entry for the ABC Extreme! (ABC with a twist!) Contest.

I understand grief, I had my share in life. You expressed it well.

The presentation is simple but nice.

Good luck!

The greatest discovery a being can make is the realization that we were crafted by a master creator. Given the ability to walk run, climb, jump. Most important of all, we were given the ability to think and ten turn those thoughts into speech and the written word. Of all the creations on Earth, we are the greatest creations, why, you might ask. We are the greatest because the creator thought so much of us that he made us in his own image.

Very well said. The quietness of the picture surrounds in an almost upbeat fashion. Amazing quality. You did not say in the author notes where the picture is from. The poetry is both profound and at the same time, simple. Well done all around. Karen
