Well, I love tanka, it's one of my favorite JSF. Your pivot line "uninhibited" is very good, but without your author's notes I would never have understood your last two lines. Maybe, little more thought to those? Actually, the last line Nonetheless, a very nice tanka

These are beautiful flowers and I loved your endearing post Debra. I am sorry for your losses, we suffer grief from time to time and I hope your memories keep these people alive for you. There is a story about this flower, when God was naming all the flowers, this little flower shouted out: "forget me not" and the God then named the flower (Forget me not). It is a quaint and endearing story, just like yours, love Dolly x x x

-Very nice photo and presentation, Debra.
-Your notes are appreciated.
-You wrote a very good tanka about it.
-The opening lines establish the premise
and show how the forget-me-nots flourish.
-A good pivot line.
-Very good closing lines with good
personification of memories.
-I am not sure about the meaning in your
notes whether you are referring to loved ones
and friends you have lost or the flowers or both.
-You did a good job with it. It's always
nice to see you on FS.

Thank you so much, Pam :)
I was referring to friends and family - I think it was clear to me but not to anyone else! Must try harder lol
Best wishes as always, Debra x

You are very welcome, Debra. It wasn't the poem but the notes that were a little unclear.

Aw, wishing for a six to give today. I just lost the last of my five brothers yesterday. It's just Suzy and me now. My husband and I will be traveling to Georgia soon. Wonderful poem as always and beautifully presented. Sending you my best today as always.

I was wondering if they were plants, but perhaps they are people in our lives, the ones that have come and gone, as we all have. This is a marvellous work, Debra, beautifully written, blessings Roy
Typo : unfertilised (foilage) foliage?

For all those whom you live and will never forget, this is a lovely tanka! I wish you added to the contest. I find the persistent nature of forgetmenot flowers annoying but they are fragrant and spread freely like the memories of those we have lost and still love.

I didn't understand this at first, I read it and it seemed like a grammar error, then I saw you note and I thought; wow. This is wonderful, I have heard of the flowers but never thought of them as an aid memoir. Fantastic writing.
