-Very nice image and presentation, Crystie.
-Your notes are appreciated.
-We love seeing the birds at our feeder
and hearing them chatter in the trees.
-You did a good job with the form.
-Effective imagery and rhyme.
-Good description of the blue jays
as they bustle, and very good imagery
describing a snowy day going by
a little faster because of the blue jay.
-Very well done.

Thank you for your kind review, even when it wasn't even promoted. Hope you have a great day. I am off to feed my little parakeets next.

Oh, I agree with your notes -- it is a winning pastime. I enjoyed this two-line poem very much (as you can imagine I did -- LOL). I especially love bluejays too -- I had one steal a peanut within a couple of feet from me. The peanuts were meant for the squirrels I was feeding! Hahahaha!

Thank you for your personalized review. Yeah, those blue jays can be funny little thieves. I think in the winter they are always dropping peanut shells in our yard from some neighbor's bird feeder. Or maybe it's the magpies. Those are the only birds who are brave enough to perch in our trees once in a while, due to our having a couple of cats. Thanks for reviewing!

What a sweet picture of the blue jay. The birds are a reminder of spring. We want to put winter behind us, and the blue jay puts us in the right framd of mind. These essence poems are so hard to write. The judges surely have a hard time judging them as they're going to be so similar because of the requirements and restrictions. Your poem certainly fits the bill when it comes to correct format. Best of luck in the contest.

The poem is rather nicely done. You speak a complete thought. Little poems are a pain to do but so satisfying when you are done. The picture is very good. Karen

Hooray for birdwatching! I'm glad that those "long, snowed-in days" are hustling out of here and the bords are singing their little hearts out. Great essence form. Best wishes in the contest!

Thank you so much for your enthusiastic review. Sometimes we get snow even in June in Utah. I think it was Father's Day just a few years back we got about a quarter inch.

I dig it. It reminds me of snow days when I was a kid. I never noticed the blue jay working as hard as he or she did. Perhaps, I did though. I don't know. The poem reminded me of good beautiful times.
