Commoáš? people have always sweated so those in power and the rich could live like kings and queens.
These people don't give us a time of day.
Wait and see when robots take our place we will become irrelevant, obsolete and those in power and the rich will just let us die.
It's happening already
People over 45/50 are not even considered anymore.
We are already seen as dead weight
Future pandemics , more unsafe vaccines, food shortages, a non functioning health system will decimate the populace.

Sounds awfully sad that only the rich can find life afterwards when the Earth has no sun. But if that was true, I am sure some misguided person working on the rocket would get his revenge... an they all would meet their end. Good luck in the contest.

To me, a stiff is a dead body. I would consider either changing the word or putting an explanation into the notes as firing dead bodies into space does not seem to be the thrust of your tale. Good luck in the contest.

Maybe it's a regional colloquialism, chiefly U.S. I looked it up on Webster Online Dictionary:

One can only wonder how far the saved population will get before the failing sun affects their escape and causes their deaths as well. The sun is pretty darn big.
