Thank you for sharing this tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. as a contest entry. Yes, he stood for equal rights for all. I've often wondered what he would think about our society today. Your rhyming scheme is very good. I want to wish you luck with the contest.

Donna, This is a very well written rhyming poem you have penned about Dr. Martin Luther King and all he did while he was living. I thought he was a very good person and was so sad to hear about his death. Best wishes in the contest. love and blessings, Teri

What a wonderful tribute to an amazing man. Never too late to remind us of his personal contribution to our nation and history of freedom.
I grew up as a "Muzungu" (derogatory term for whites used in the Congo). Gives me some small understanding of not belonging. Expatriates, military brats, political kids and missionary kids live in a third culture of their own. Well done. Esther
