I find it impressive whenever somebody expresses complete thoughts with a syllable count. This is a lovely prayer. Only when we are filled can we then pour out. I pray that God fills your cup and makes your path straight.

Hi Pat, this is a beautiful prayer in a poem. Of special note:
never allow my mind to stray
away to troublesome thoughts of my past,
(That's a tough one. The past has a way of haunting the present.)

This is so lovely Patricia! Yes, I agree. When the past is forgiven by God we must not go back and dwell on our failures, but look ahead to the One who can and will continue to give us victory and hope in Him.
