Perhaps the entity is Lilith, in fact I'm sure it is. But I hope that Jesse isn't permanently poisoned by the talons of the demon, that would be something less than wonderful, how will they obtain light once the torch fails? Well done Douglas, good chapter, blessings Roy

Short and neat as If a bone was picked clean of meat
No telling what awaits the reader and I wanna know how did they get in a vault after passing through two wooden windowless doors

I'm not sure I have the heart to read more, but I will definitely read the next post. I have to have these three people all right, Greg, Jesse, and Jenny. Really, I do.

This room has to have a vent or someth.ing. (something.)

Hmm. Sounds dim, fatalistic, and sad. How will this end? The demise of? Let?s see??..

    Appreciate you!

Wow, Doug, you really love your horror and portray it with spine-chilling effect! That black shadow in the corner of the ceiling was enough to scare the living daylights out of anyone, especially when it revealed the "screeching face of feminine horror." I loved that final paragraph with the repeat of He didn't have the heart... I only wondered if you might have found a stronger word for 'feminine'? banshee perhaps? But this is excellent work leading up to your finale! Well done! Debbie

Nicely written. The situation sounds ominous.
Jenny patted her shoulder holster. - I think her response would have been to draw the weapon, maybe explaining what it was and where she got it. No way would I have entered the building without the gun already drawn.
This room has to have a vent or someth.ing. - oops
Best wishes.
