I think it was well written and had me captured until the end which simply dies like a rose in sweltering heat. Sorry, but maybe others will see it differently. Good luck.

    Thanks for reviewing. I am sorry that the ending disappointed you. I was going for an ending that wasn't the usual disaster type of thing.

An excellent entry for the The Door Slammed writing prompt. A well written story that kept me reading until the end where I got a pleasant surprise twist and a happy ending that I wasn't expecting. Good job.
