"Here we go, Uncle Charles." He took one last look at the photograph of Charles and

(Just a recommendation...I would put this quote in italics as a thought. I got confused later, thinking for some reason Charles was on the plane after all because Dylan seemed to be speaking to him. Then within a few paragraphs I wondered what happened to him. Where did he go? If you put it in italics, it's obviously a thought and Charles isn't there.)

Everything looks good!

I thought looking at the picture might give the clue that he was alone, but I get your point. An easy fix! Thank you!

Okay, I'm now on board. I've been doing fewer review these past days, but I spent today catching up. I read the prologue and past chapters. Wow! This is the type of story, with lots of characters and lots of plots that totally satisfy my active imagination. There is no way to guess what might happen next. Btw, I enjoyed Eleanor being able to float around and see how her family reacted to the reading of her will.

Now this is one of those stories where every single person is either on the take or the make, kind of like real life, as it seems to me. Thanks for sharing.

I guess that's why my stories have so many possibilities. Some things are little and then some are big, but they are all out there to see how they can twist things in their direction.

Please make me a card. I can whine a lot. Okay, I'll stop. Your story is an onion, layer upon layer, upon layer. I really do want a peak inside your head. I see generals with lots of fruit salad each at his own table moving stuff around like a gigantic game of risk! Karen

Unless this is the first segment of this story, I am afraid that I am totally lost. There are obviously multiple stories going on here. They both seem intriguing and worthy of being closely followed. Please advise me on how best to stay in the loop.

Yes, you've jumped into a story that had a prologue and 4 other chapters preceding it. In case you are interested in following it...I've added a summary.

    SUMMARY
At the reading of Eleanor Bennett's will, her dysfunctional family discovered she had led a secret life as CJ Grey, a wealthy and well-known artist. Unfortunately for them, Detective Donatelli interrupted the reading to announce that someone had murdered Eleanor.

Meanwhile, a ring of international art thieves have stolen numerous paintings, including one belonging to Eleanor's former lover, Charles Weldon. His protege and nephew, Dylan Weldon, flew to the U.S. to join FBI agent Garth Woodman in solving the case.

Much to Garth's chagrin, his nemesis, Matthew Donatelli's murder case, overlaps with the art theft when he discovers one of Eleanor's paintings is missing, too. As the two men struggle to break the cases wide open, their underlying personal battle continues to get in the way.

    Thank you...Smiles, Carol

Ah, the plot is thickening all way round. I really like this storyline, Carol. You certainly do have a way, with constructing great plots. As I said, I really like it, but I must read on. Ulla xcx

This is another great chapter you have penned. I bet Trevor gets into some kind of trouble. You used great descriptive words and very good imagery from your words. Thanks for sharing! love and blessings, Teri

Yes, you would win that bet. Trevor will be in trouble but once again he thinks he can work his way out of it. We will see.

Woohoo! Now that was a stroke of genius to bring back Garth, our favorite detective. It always helps to bring a well loved and familiar character into the book. (But Garth is missing from the list of characters.)
That uncle to nephew relationship could become sour really fast. Hope someone will notice what's going on.

Yes, the Cowboy had to come to town...it was about time. He'd been gathering dust in those other books. LOL Should be interesting!

Oh so Garth, Tango and Poppa are back! That's very clever, and Dylan did well to realise he was being followed. Most people wouldn't. And then a switch to these two connivors, uncle and nephew being a bit similar in needing money and unscrupulous as to how they get it. Plenty of drama and tension in this very well written chapter.

Love the very real airport introduction. Then some great pace with the meeting up between Cowboy Garth and Dylan and the mystery of the stolen painting. Before we're speedily moved into another scenario between those two no-good jewellery thieves. Great hook at the end. My goodness, Carol, this is a non-stop ride:) Thanks for sharing Debbie
