Karen is nice and she's sweet
Her company is a rare treat
She may be old
But's she's made of gold
We better go get her a seat
Or, something else suitably fawning. hahahaha

I thought this was well written. For me your poem captures a moment of reflectio. I also sensed a a hint of regret or longing for what could have been. The phrase "If I had let you" suggests that. Well written and an excellent entry to the contest!

I think everyone has at least one possible relationship that you wonder about if it would've succeeded. But, if it was meant to be, it would have, so there's that. I'm a great believer in I'm where I'm intended to be when I'm supposed to be there. I trust God will keep me on the way I must go. Thanks so much!
