Love is eternal and your love for your husband has obviously not changed. Death does not break a bond forged by a lifetime of devotion. Thank you for sharing your lovely sentiments.

Thank you Carol. I knew you would understand and probably remember you on love that died not so long ago.

With your words, you tell us of an enduring love - one that blesses you still by wrapping you in memories that bring you comfort and happiness. This is an exquisite expression of the love that you shared/share. Good luck in the contest.

This poem, The Staying Power of Love, first, makes me want to give you a hug and commiserate about loss, which we all will face one time or another. I have not faced a death like that, of my spouse, but can only imagine the feelings. I hope you are surrounded by friends all the time.

Thank you Bill. I miss him and could use a hug at times. He was nine years older than me and I realized he would probably go first but that didn't make it any easier. Love goes on.

I enjoyed your poem very much and I wish you the very best and the love poetry contest. I'm sorry that you lost your husband seven years ago, but I'm also thrilled that you still feel him present with you in the nighttime hours. I lost my husband almost 29 years ago and I feel him from time to time, but not as much as I did it first. Patricia.

So so true. I have lost two wonderful wives, one to pneumonia and the other to Roundup lymphoma. I have realistic daydreams about them. In fact, I'm writing two novels here that they inspired me to do.
They also visit me in night dreams. I awaken wiping tears from my eyes.
In three months I have written almost 300 pages in each novel!
