Patty,
I did not get the theme of your story at first. Then I reread it, and it clicked.
This is a great horror story; it may keep me from flea markets for awhile . lol
I hope you keep writing, Patty,
Best wishes, Cindy

Yes, another entry for the 75 Word Flash Fiction contest! Err, ummm, oh, cool, pulled into the canvas! Was Lucy a ghost? She being drawn back into the self portrait of herself? Just a thought...I like the imagery stuff in this picture and prose. Pictures can attract spirits, just like two mirrors facing each other opens a Stargate, a portal for spirits to come and go! I like this one, and wish you lots of luck!

Thank you for sharing this contest entry with us. I enjoyed reading. You have all the element required for a story, character, plot, setting, and solution. Although not really a positive solution, that's not required. Good luck with the contest.

I like your 75 Words Flash Fiction story, and it move me as I read it. Your topic choice is great, it's not boredom, and it can related to a lot of readers too. I know that some donors or donations can hit back to the original owner's face, lol, because I once experienced like your story, but with a different object. Anyway, congrats to your winning - "Recognized!"

I guess we never know what evil lies all around us. Hidden within every vase of flowers, picture, or a cautious critter crawling into our pockets at the thrift store. Thanks for sharing.

You had me from the start with that dusty thrift store! How I used to love them, even on holiday. An inventive idea for the woman in the image to speak dark secrets, luring you back to the shop to be forever portrayed on canvas. Nicely done in your 75 word flash! Good luck! Debbie

Very good use of the 75 word flash fiction story, it was eerie and creepy. And I frequent thrift stores all the time, I find such unusual items, luckily never anything possessed.
