Hi Barbara,
I got behind again, but I really enjoyed this chapter. Sami really got a chance to show her vinegar! She didn't let Galvin rattle her. I think she was angry about the eyes comment as much as anything. What a terrible experience for her. First, her student wasn't found and Chen got away, then Galvin swooped in to stir up trouble, but Sami was strong and made him storm off.

That talk with Sami angered Galvin. Treating him as is if he was nothing. Like those great lumps did all the work. They would see different tonight! He would take down Chen. A lone operative could get in as a customer and kill Chen. You just wait and see. They would be shown up for the slackards they are. Maybe he'd swing by and get Sami to use as bait. He could think up paperwork or something as an excuse. As if he needed to. He was the one in charge! Something like that? Gavin is a retard. :-)

An interesting situation here, although it is always a sad thing when someone above your own job position has major weaknesses and character flaws.
You continue to offer excellent character development and that helps keep the story moving, plus readers want to stay involved. Another super chapter, Barbara. :-)
