There are less of them, because we become them. This is my kind kind of story. And did you put in August 12th, because it was my birthday? Say yes even if you didn't you will make my day.
Very good intellegent work. Karen

I like the centrality of Mr Howell's death which seems to drag the whole story, as a delightful meander through the characters in the story. They are an rclectic mix of the wonderful variety of people that take form in age, that haven't got an occupation that defines them, well done Douglas, blessings Roy

Interesting plot. I'm curious to findout what happened to Mr. Howell. I am afraid to end up in a rest home but I'm still young and my children would make sure I'm okay.

I like the story. Good characters development.

Well done!

I thought I responded to this? Maybe I need a home.

So, some people do go in voluntarily for community. That is shocking and led me down this little rabbit hole! I am enjoying the journey. Gosh, I do love to write.

It seem Hattie is starting to make friends find some reason to exist, She like mysteries. Maybe this will not be such a bad place to be after all. I'm not sure I'll she go about this but we'll see.

This story has me laughing. It's so different from your previous stories. It's really good. I like your characters.

"So, was Nel telling you about the odd happenings on the nefarious fourth floor?" Now Joy's jolly voice lowered. Perhaps that was how the residents of Berkshire discussed the uppermost level. "Yes, until she fell asleep. We were discussing Mr. Howell and his untimely demise." (Joy speaking at the beginning of this paragraph and Hattie and the end, correct? If so, then two paragraphs.)

This is set to be a winner, Doug, If ever I've known one! I told you about The Thursday Murder Club (Richard Osmond), which has been bought up by Spielberg. This is sounding every bit as good! It's got wit, charm, humour, mystery and a wonderful protagonist I've warmed to already. Love the alliterative names and I can't think that anyone would be offended so far by your portrayals unless they have a sense of humour by-pass! In which case, that's their problem! Well done! Debbie

This murder mystery is as intriguing as any I've read in book form. I congratulate you. The plot is credible, the characters complete, and the setting unique, not to mention excellent writing. Great work.

With the exception of getting lost on the close... Jerky. unless he fondles himself alone, I thought this an interesting chapter, but I confess I cannot recall previous ones. Have you been gone a spell? Tom H
