Holy delayed reviewing Bat Girl! I know I've been away for a while, but I've got a lot of chapters to catch up on! I couldn't like Eleanor more if she were my own mother. Her wit (Jet lag with no jet) -- makes her so likable even as she masterfully winds her way through all of the questions and mysteries to be unraveled. I'm glad Sophia is talking... Step on in healing for her! I may be wrong, but Angelo seems like a basically good guy who is caught up in all of this!

Hip Hip Horrah! My weekend is made, girl friend! Seeing your smiling face looking back at me is the best thing I could have asked for.... As for catching up...you've got it made in the shade. I know if you like the story (which I hope you do) your'r going to be flying through it like butter melting in a pan. I love Eleanor too! She's what makes this story so eacy to write... I love her humor. something's happening in every chapter...it'll keep you hoping! Can't wait to see what you think! My heart is happy!!!

This work has reached the exceptional level

BOO is reading prose. Disheveled, nice word! "Hey, cut me some slack. It's not every day I meet a ghost." Angelo stared at her, his eyes wide with disbelief. "That's what you are, right? I didn't imagine it, did I?" Like this particular paragraph.

No one told me that being a ghost would come with jet lag -- and no jet." Another good sentence. Interesting characters twisted with dialogue and conversation. Don't see any obvious errors. Like I tell everyone, use show when you can. Got no other suggestions. It's your book! Another good episode! Tomorrow is Star Day, but lookie here, Pilgrim.

BOO!

Great chapter, well written! I'm glad Sophia was able to voice what she heard and felt, and even smelled. Good use of her other senses. I'm not trusting Johan to be the protector he says he is. Looking forward to reading more. I think I'm finally caught up! Blessings. Carol

You have Chapter 9 or did you read that one already? Thank you so much for the review and for the time reading my story. I appreciate it very much.

Man, Eleanor is wearing herself out being a fairy godmother to Angelo. He doesn't deserve it!
Someone has to tell Emily that Eleanor is a ghost and a detective. Jenna needs to come clean about that.
That Johan character is very suspicious!
A lot of information in this post!

I agree...Emily should know since she's in such close proximity to Jenna and Eleanor's visits. But don't be too hard on Angelo. He doesn't want to be the bad guy, but he's caught between a rock and a hard place. Hopefully, Eleanor will help him set things right.

I love Angelo, he might be a bit of a rogue, but a loveable one. I wish Eleanor could conjure up a nice breakfast like that for me!! LOL
Now we listen to Sophie, Eleanor was right to get her to call on her senses, smells and sounds can tell you a lot, it just means you have to delve deeper into your mind to recover them whilst you are still in shock. I'm not sure if I trust the man who has taken Hilda with him. We will see. Another lovely chapter with the lovely Eleanor! I love that ghost!!

Sorry I'm late, Carol, I've been editing my novel, The Descendant. it's taking a long time but I want to get it right. I'm changing the name, but still not sure what to call it. I went into Amazon and there thousands with that title. What do you think of 'The Sorceress and the Prophecy'? Or do I just stick with The Descendant and be done with it? I don't know. Now I'm off to read your next chapter! Love you lots! Sandra xxx

I can't imagine that you would have that much to edit...your writing always seems perfect to me. That's a bummer that so many have used the same title. I like The Descendant (maybe adding and adjective before) but I also like The Prophecy. But in the end, it's your baby, and you should do what makes you feel good.

I wanted to show that just because Sophia is blind or has a handicap (for others) it doesn't make that person useless. They can help in other ways...Sophia with her heightened senses.

I think Angelo got caught in something he never intended and now knows that if he walks away, Naomi will be at risk. I don't see that happening.

Thanks so much for sticking it out with me. A few are saying the story is too complicated, but it's the only way I know how to write. I hope I can clear things up for them.

I'm guessing that if they think your story is complicated, they would never have stuck with JK Rowling's books!! I don't find it complicated, I know I get their names wrong sometimes, I do that a lot with everyone's stories. It's an age thing! LOL. Keep at it! Love from Me! 🥰

I somehow missed this one and read Chapter 9 first. Now that I've gone back, some of the questions I had in the 9th chapter are answered. I do have one question about a sentence at the beginning of this chapter. "Eleanor emptied the empty whiskey bottle. . . How do you empty an empty bottle?

I like the little magical tricks that Eleanor can perform, she's becoming a very useful ghost, as well as her investigative abilities she can serve coffee, and more than adequate breakfast. We call biscuits in all their wide varieties, what you may call cookies, what are your biscuits Carol? Beautifully written, blessings Roy

Like Biscuits and gravy.... but for me, no gravy, just butter. It's one bad habit I picked up fro my dad... butter, butter, butter. LOL A cookie is a sweet dessert and a biscuit is a filling bread with dinner.

I'm starting to get into the story now. I was having a hard time at first. I couldn't seem to get interested. This chapter is full of action and lots of Eleanor.

Eleanor is playing a key role. It wasn't intended that way but she seems to fit in better with what's happening than Danni. I'm glad you are stating to like it. Please feel free to tell me if you think somethings not right.

I'm glad to see Sophia is not as much of a victim as I originally thought she would be. She was able, through her senses, to contribute a lot of helpful information to Eleanor, by recounting what she heard, felt, smelled and sensed. I enjoyed the realistic way you presented their conversation. The suspense continuously builds.

I think your dialogue does an excellent job of bringing the character's personalities to life. I loved the conversation between Angelo and Eleanor and I could feel how much they liked each other. An excellent, well written piece, Carol. I really enjoyed reading it.

Eleanor has a heart of gold! She couldn't express herself i real life but has learned to have a open mind and heart as a ghost. Thank you so much for your kindness as well with the wonderful comments. Have a great day!
