Hilda is such an educated person....which proves that there is a world of difference between IQ and EQ (Emotional Quotient)-- Unfortunately, for the moment Johan's obvious attempts to woo her are overshadowing the number of times she is ignoring the red flags of things he has said, regarding her research. He wants her, maybe (he is a man after all)---but he NEEDS those research papers! Onward!

Things are about to start popping! But yes, she's smart and educated, but she hasn't the faintest idea what Johan is up too. thank heavens she's got a ghost looking out for her!

There's a lot to take in here and I'm sorry, Carol, I've been away again. But you certainly don't let the grass grow under your feet and this story is moving at some pace. I'm particularly interested in what's going on with Hilda and Johan because that conniving Johan is definitely out to steal her research papers and she's getting quite smitten with him. Hopefully help can get to her fast whether that be by human or supernatural means. What an excellent story full of intrigue and complexity. Thanks for sharing, Carol. Take care Debbie

Thanks so much, Debbie. I hope I am not giving you too much to digest with the story. I only know how to write with a fast pace...no time to linger and grab a nap. LOL I guess I'm not into too much of the filler stuff unless its necessary. Thanks for enjoying and I hope you continue to do so.

BOO is reading... sometimes BOO procrastinates. It's in my DNA genes. Chapter 10, already? You sure can write a lot in a day. Wish I had that kind of work drive. I'm basically a lazy ghost.

Reading prose..."Angelo, what the hell is going on?" This grabs your attention fast! Early? It's almost noon, you worthless baboon." Hahaha! Not heard the word baboon used in a few moons. He's my son, but it pains me to say this, he can't stay out of trouble. I pay you quite well to make sure he does. This is unacceptable!" Oh, my! There's an epidemic of sons that get into trouble these days.

Reading on, Hilda froze, her heart pounding in her chest. The closeness, the warmth of his body against hers, sent shivers down her spine. She felt the heat rising to her cheeks as her mind scrambled to find a response. Finally, she stammered, "Th -- thank you.". Hum, is there romance blossoming here?

The storyline and plot thickens. Good use of dialogue. Another dandy of an episode. Well written! No negatives to speak of, you tell a nice tale! Reap the golden harvest!

BOO!

There is something compelling around every corner, with Klaus tied up at the precinct, Hilda in the clutches of an evil Johan, Angelo being threatened if he can't keep Jose out of trouble, while Danni and Matthew bicker. Eleanor...we need you to figure out all that is happening, before Carol adds more twists and turns. (smile) See you in the next chapter.

You got to watch out for that author...She lets her mind go crazy at times (more often than not). But in the end, I hope she can tie it all together. You might find a clue in the next chapter...I hope.

Hilda certainly needs rescuing from that Johan. The question is whether Eleanor will be able to arrive in time. She doesn't even know the address.
A suggestion: They sat down to breakfast. I would change it to: They sat down to eat. Takes away from repeating the word breakfast.
A great chapter, Carol. Hugs, Ulla xcx

They need to get there very quickly before Johan can put his cunning plans into place. Hilda was right to be unsure of him, so I hope she doesn't fall to his charms and find herself in further danger. It's getting increasingly complex!

Hilda has been a research with her nose stuck in a lab or a book so she's not too smart when it comes to men and their cunning ways. She's about to find out how treacherous they can be but Eleanor and Danni are o the hunt.

As you say, Hilda is in a lot of trouble with this Johan that has convinced her that her parents sent him. I hope the ghosts go on ahead to the address because Johan seemed impatient.

Eleanor and Danni are on the hunt with Donatelli bringing up the rear. He moves too slowly for our friendly ghosts. I think you will enjoy the chapter I just posted....

You know how to make us readers feel what you want us to. Slip through the trivial stuff and get to the meat of things in a hurry. LOL.
Thanks for sharing another fine chapter.

Johan has given Hilda a number a clues that he's not the person she thinks he is. I hope the detectives find her before anything else happens to her. Lots of interesting dialogue that keeps the plot moving nicely. I especially enjoyed the interaction between Dannie, Eleanor, and Donatelli. Blessings. Carol

She's a science freak and hasn't had much exposure to men so she's flattered, overwhelmed and simply not intune. Hopefully, she will be rescued.

So this complicated plot thickens, so many characters, both protagonist and antagonist, some a little too ambiguous to be either, but it tests my limited intellect and I like, perhaps with exercise it may grow on me. There are some clever twists and turns, so clever. You write like a number of murder/mystery writers who tire me out, well done Carol, Blessings Roy
PS. At least you have far less murder victims.

Og dear, I hope I don't tire you out, Roy. It's suppose to be enjoyment not work. And as for murder victims, I don't like to get gory....Thanks as always.
