This poem fits the 5-7-5 syllable format, and definitely describes something in nature. Something I've always wanted to visit, by the way. The picture chosen goes well with the poem.

This is a true haiku. All about nature and has a good satori line.
Since with the first two lines we don't know that you're talking about Dawn, the third line is effectively a surprise That is what a good satori line does
I like the sulking hills I hope they can find the reason for the Dawn being mournful. Maybe it can be fixed. Just kidding

Your haiku beautifully captures a sense of mystery. The word choices are terrific. I loved "folklore mysteries" combined with "sulking hills". That creates a haunting atmosphere. Wonderful!
