It is a haiku about nature, and follows the 5-7-5 syllable format. It actually tells a story in three lines too! I'm not big on haiku, but this one is very sweetly inspiring.

There is always some compensation in nature and we enjoy the rainbows after the rain, a fine presentation for the contest, I wish you luck, love Dolly x

Hi
This looks like a good entry for the contest. Good luck with that.
I suppose you already know your last line is only four syllables, but I think that's OK
Just giving you an FYI. I think you know already.
Beautiful imagery, ending with the rainbow.
Can you work it so you can make the last line over the rainbow ie they're actually flying over the rainbow into Kansas or elsewhere
I think you could keep your middle line. Up to you
It would also be a reference to the song over the rainbow song from the Wizard of Oz when the birds fly over the rainbow and then why can't she?
A wonderful poem
I enjoyed reading your poem
Good job. Thank you for sharing.
