Oliver has a hold on Danielle, and she said he hugged her like no one else, not even her parents. Strange! That's a great hook, Jacob. Curiosity killed the cat, as the saying goes. Danielle needs to be aware that she is stepping into dangerous territory.
Great chapter, Jacob. You're on a solid foundation, and the story is progressing nicely.
God bless,
Steve

This is an interesting leave-taking. She feels she has been hugged by Oliver like no one before has ever hugged her. And now she knows she wants to go back and live in the house with all the others to gain more knowledge about what her parents had rejected. Or is that why she wants to go back? Is she fooling herself?

Good! Danielle needs to go back and finish the job she's started. I like the audible clang of the gates and the reflective glance back at Oliver. This sets the scene for a return and hopefully Callum will accompany her. I'm a little perplexed by Callum's problems with his parents about getting away. But another excellent read that's keeping me hooked. Thanks for the share, Jacob. Take care Debbie

She is really hooked on this place. I not so sure it is just about getting answers. She seems physically attracted to Oliver. The place seems pretty creepy to me and likely to Callum. He could wait to get away and I'm sure he doesn't want to go back. It seems like some kind of cult. I wonder what they do for income.

This chapter indicates that Danielle is too curious to give up entirely on the place her parents were living in when her brother murdered them. Everyone seems to have been on their best behavior, or else there must have been something that happened to her brother that the others don't know about. Callum is probably thinking he ought to get another friend. He points out that surely there is something odd about the feeling he got that they didn't have real jobs anywhere. So we will have to see what happens next!

I'm screaming for Danielle to think about this. It's dangerous. Of course, if she doesn't go back, it's the end of the story and I really like reading this story. GRRR, I'm a mess. This is another good write.

Now I thik Danielle is already brainwashed or she never had all her faculties about her in the first place. Why on earth would anyone want to go back there and she isn't even considering a week end, she's thinking weeks, months. she's done for!
Smiles, Carol
