I don't remember reading a "funny" Haiku" poem unless specifically asked that the poem be humorous...but this does follow the structure so I guess its a Haiku...

Thank you very much. I'm visiting my two nephews and niece at the moment, which may have provided some inspiration...







Last one is in black and white because his food goes everywhere, on everything and everyone, and it's vile. He weights more than his sister who is twice his age, and is on track to be a linebacker. Once his gorilla genes kick in, he will be a force to be reckoned with.

A very funny verse with a great artwork!

Fruit loops was a breakfast treat when my kids were small. No longer do I taste those memories. Sometimes I snacked on them without the milk (-;

Thank you Mark. They were good and still are. I used to look longingly at them in the grocery store, but was denied because of the price and the sugar level. Cheerios were cheaper. 🦍

I prefer the Honey Cheerios mixed with a handful of raisins now (-; Today, I just had a bowl of generic brand cheerios, but still with the raisins!

I don't think I have every read a humorous Haiku contest entry before. I'm pretty sure that's a true statement. It could only be your entry, nobody else would think of it. It's great. Good luck with the contest.

Thank you for the compliment. I've done dozens of haikus on gorillas and bananas, all very serious, but this one was a rare departure from the usual topics. 🦍
