This was an excellent chapter. I'm behind because my computer was out and I'm glad I found it. I have a feeling this isn't fiction about pharmaceutical companies wanting to cover up cures for cancer. I'll bet they are. I tend to think getting xrays and breast scans cause more cancers than they cure. I enjoyed the exchanges between Donatelli and and Danni and Eleanor.

i too agree that from what I've read, the pharmaceutical companies like making the money they do and wouldn't want to lose that income. Right now my son and I (thak heavens for insurance) are each paying over $1100 for a diabetic drug. We both have to stop for the year because we fall into a donut hole... $3000 each before we can get drugs paid for again. It's insane. thanks for the review and thoughts.

Johan has given us a few answers in this chapter, but I'm not relaxing yet. What happens to Jose? Is he back in the custody of Carlos? Angelo didn't keep Jose out of trouble, and doesn't even know what trouble Jose is in. What is Carlos going to do to Angelo?

Two good things is that Donatelli will now become the detective he should have always been, and my girl Danni has become a real asset.

Your wish is my command, dear friend. I believe you will get a few answers in the next chapter or two. Yes, I am cheering for Danni as well. She took a risk for the greater good and I hope she isn't punished for it.

Hi CarolDonatelli comes across being a bully, and he really is. Maybe this will take him out of his set ways. Eleanor is certainly trying her best. What a great chapter. Big hugs, Ulla xcx

I think seeing Naomi's blood on the bed really rocked his block. He's ready to get back to being the detective Eleanor knows he is. Now a nic chat with Garth over steaks and we should be good to go... Except we do have Angelo and Jose running around somewhere.

I think Donatelli had to have something HUGE to wake him from his drunken slump and stupor. Clues he would have picked up on were missed because he's been in denial. It may be a rocky path to save Naomi and how frustrated must Eleanor be to keep what would alter the future silent?

Danni is getting more confident and assertive. A train I hope Donatelli appreciates sooner rather than later!

Good chapter!

Yup! Seeing Naomi's blood on the bed rocked his block for sure. Now a little talk with Garth and we should be rocking and rolling... oops! forgot that Jose is still on the loose. Wonder if Angelo is tracking him or if he washed his hands of that situation? Oh Wait a minute...I know the answer to that one. LOL I'm writing it right now!

I have a feeling it's going to be a while before Naomi is safe and I am scared to find out what is going to happen to her because of what she knows. Another excellent, entertaining chapter, Carol. I really enjoyed reading it.

Donatelli is his usual bullying self. He is a really slow learner. How can Johan see Danni if she is a ghost? Or can a ghost appear to the good people and the bad people, although Johan isn't all bad? Donatelli seems to be in love with Naomi.

I think he is finally going to come to terms with what burying his grief in whiskey has done to him...not only as a person but as a detective. He doesn't know whether Naomi is alive and he will carry that thought of ignoring her with him. As for the ghosts (mine at least) when they materialize in human form, they can be seen by all).

I love that the 'rules' prevent Eleanor from changing the future and revealing things that have not yet happened in real time. It's good that Johan revealed some helpful information to Danni, if only Garth will take the time to listen to her. He's so uptight! LOL. Great chapter. Blessings. Carol

Yes, me too! I didn't want anyone to be able to change what happens...she can make suggestions or encourage, but she can't reveal what will happen if he does. I think the detectives will finally get their heads together and start solving this case.

Yes, much has happened while the detectives are fishing around for clues. Great chapter!

Another very dramatic chapter, and Donatelli is letting his moods and emotions get in the way of doing his detective work well. Too impatient and insensitive. Just as well he has a couple of ghosts to help him out!

I think Donatelli just got a bucket of ice water tossed on him with Naomi missing. He was letting his attitude regarding the court case blind him to what really was important and now he fears he let what happened to Naomi occur o his watch. Maybe he will wise up now.

Gee, Donatelli missed all that information that Johan gave? It was clear that "Beckett's partner" meant Naomi. I thought when he drew his breath sharply, he was understanding. But apparently, not. And they won't find Jose who's safely in Mexico now. Seems like Donatelli couldn't do anything without his ghost friends. It's surprising the Danni even has a phone and was quite physically visible and acting like a real staff member here. No one would know she's a ghost.

Danni took a chance when she broke the rules after finding the birth certificate, but I think Eleanor will vouch for the necessity of her actions. When either of the ghosts materialize, they can be seen by anyone as if they were human. I saw a few movies like that so I adopted that thought. It helps with the wirting. LOL

Most things in life are never truly what they seem, but for some reason, most people never take that into consideration. So, just tell them what they want to hear. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Hello, dear friend. Glad you were able to stop by and read this bit of action. Of course, it's nothing compared to Tucker, but I'm not too much into the blood and gore. Glad you enjoyed!
