This was a beautiful and uplifting poem. I'm sure he is appreciating this outpouring of support from his FanStory family. This gave such hope of healing and after time passes and the rawness is worn away, he will start the slow process of healing. Gretchen

Hi Debbie. It's been a while. I was pained to hear of your physical sufferings, and I have to admire your ability to transcend suffering, at least some of it. Your poem, "For Nomi," contained deep feeling and left me wondering who Nomi was and what caused her suffering, although the endless stream of change that is mentioned is something we all experience, and this gave me some insight. I might have made your last line to read "and in your mourning..." - it seemed to connect this line to Nomi's pain.
We had written back and forth about Dylan Thomas, and I learned from what you told me. There's quite a lot about Thomas on youTube, including an interview with his wife. I have enlarged my sense of the man and his passion for poetry by watching these short pieces, and I was thrilled to see that he used a diagrammatic technique to try different words in lines, something that I have sometimes done.

Such a sad subject, but yet, such a real subject. Death is never easy for any of us. However, we all have to do it some time in our life. This is a great poem on that subject Debbie. Keep up the great work!

I just found out today about Nomi's wife passing. I don't know the man or follow his work, but we can all relate to losing someone we love. It was a very nice poem that you penned for him in his time of loss and overwhelming grief. Thanks for your kindness.
