I'm glad to see you writing more stories than poetry and short stuff lately. With your imagination I never know where your thoughts might take us, but usually, someone is dying. LOL. You tell a mean story; now, I'm just waiting to when you give us the step by step action as it happens.
Thanks for sharing.

That is not my cup of tea honeybunch. I am not as angry as I was. I do get angry from time to time, but I don't stay angry like I did. I still have many stories in me. I am thinking about writing a Travis story. And how he first started the thing about buying new boots after a win. He is you sugarplum. Do you have a favorite name for a cocktail waitress? Babs ? Trixie? Misty? Laverne? Tell me the best one you ever heard. Thanks for the read. Karen

I hate to break it to you, but I don't see me using that one. Although I have heard someone called that before.

A LOT of ideas here...and yet somehow with your humor and finesse you swing us from one to the next and we're never left to fall on our face! I don't know how you manage to make euthanasia humorous...but you did, with a twinge of tenderness squished in there...
So, we're going to have a whole alphabet of these? Murders...she wrote!

Marilyn nagged me to. She said if I couldn't write a novel, I could still have a book with short stories, so i am giving it a go. Karen

Great idea! Nobody does murders like you do...

Hello Karen,
The hot dog sounds interesting, but I would prefer messy to an all in one experience. It's kind of like designing a house, you can put all kinds of do dads into it to make it your own. It was good of him to release his friend from pulling the plug, plus he had the satisfaction in knowing that his friend was willing to help. Thanks for sharing gal.
Blessings,
Tom
PS, I forgot to say congrats on your 300th post. Well done gal!

That's almost one a day every day. Wow! that's a lot. I did not know I did that much. Thanks for the read. Karen

Interesting read.
Taking off on your hunting club concept of killing critters from the comfort of a suite reminds me of articles and videos by well-meaning (maybe) modern hunters (killers) who use the newest technologies to perfectly time and place their target. Without any of the suffering of real hunters of old, they set their alarms, trek to prearranged blinds and pop their 'trophy' - hardly hunting.
Best wishes.

If you need the food, I get it, Otherwise it is just posturing. And throwing back fish? No, we won't kill you, we will just torture you. The caging of animals, don't get me started. Thanks for the read. Karen

My novels all seem to be about inventors. I think you and I like to write about inventors because we get to invent stuff in the process. It's fun to think up ideas for things. The hard part is getting them to actually work, but as writers, fortunately we don't have to do that. We just get to think 'em up.
I enjoyed this story about a unique individual who chose his own time to depart this world with his own invention. It was nice of him not to make you do it.

This is the way I would like to go. Just slip out before the really horrid stuff starts. :-) Karen

Did you choose the name Zebulon Zacharias, with Z being at the end of the alphabet, to be symbolic of the end of his life?
Comment from barbara.wilkey
Cute story, and I enjoyed reading. Thank you for sharing it with us.
As good luck will have it, The bay doors were open and he flew right into the Zacharias lake. (it, the & open, & Zacharia's lake. OR Zacharias' lake.)
When the first sample of 24 gross arrived, well, you already figured it out didn't you? (out,)
I said, I will just unplug the bad gas, but you can use the calming gas to see how it works. (I said, "I will just unplug the bad gas, but you can use the calming gas to see how it works.")
the calming gas to put you to sleep, and two minutes later the red button depresses and you are deceased. . Zebulon waved to (depresses, & only one period at the end)

Intricate, imaginative and injected with humour, this is therapy for the author and mind bogglingly tangential for the reader! Where would we be without you, Karen? Debbie

You are so sweet. It was meant to be sinister, but it turned out funny and sweet. Oh well, thanks for the read. Love to you and yours. Karen

This was a very involved story. Instead of a retributive finale, this was more of a bittersweet end. One very small concern: I believe $100,00.00 is missing a zero in the middle.

Thanks for the read and eagle eye. Nobody else caught it.
Marilyn said I should make an alphabetical short story book. Each story would have a death, but it doesn't have to be criminal. How about "Death: crimes and misdemeaners A-Z"
Love to you and yours, Karen

That's a great title! In China, they might call it "Wantan Soup".

If you think up somethink more to home drop me a line. :-)

A B Ceases? No!

It took me a while to get that !
I love it, but it wouldn't work. But, I do love it. You made me have a nice belly laugh on that. Thank you so much. Karen

??????????????? Where or how did you come up with this story line. It's ... mesmerizingly demented, of which I am too familiar, as I picture my grand ideas written are wonderful. What is slovenly lax???

Lax is lazy. Slovenly has several meanings. I love the word. It oozes out it's meaning. Careless, uncaring, a wastrel, sloppy, grimy, uncaring about his appearance, a loafer ( not the shoe), and a useless blot on the face of mankind. Thanks for the read. I meant to write a very heinous killing for money, and it turned sweet on me. Love to you and yours. Karen

Quite the ramble with this one, my dear. So many inventions and so little success! Of course, the reader enjoyed your splashes of humor along the way. Have a great day!

Thanks so much I owe you quite a few. Between fixing the apartment, working on my divorce, and trying to set up my benefits. I also have my muse screaming in my ear. My list of reviews I owe is growing like a beanstalk. I will repay. Love to you and yours sweet pea, Karen
