LOL! This is hysterical! No little blue pill for his dilemma -- but the comical inference is there, and the limerick is as amusing and smile-inducing as limericks ought to be! Gosh, It's GREAT to have you back!

6 months ago, I submitted this to a publisher who published it in an anthology in charge way too much for the books. I bought one anyway. A fellow in England read the limerick and then contacted me. He said it was the funniest Limerick he has ever read. I thought it was pretty funny myself. I entered this into the contest for limericks here, and I didn't come close to winning. Limericks require specific meter and rhyme. My Limerick tied for third. I was a little surprised.

Voting is wonky...
That's my two cents!

(It is absolutely hilarious!)

LOL!!!! Ugh! That was funny. It has the Limerick 3-3-2-2-3 feet per line. It has the correct rhyme scheme. It is funny because it makes a bawdy punch-line from a pun.

It's hilarious! I love how these limericks are flying across FanStory like wildfire and bringing such entertainment with them. It's so much nicer to chuckle and smile than read about sadness. Your humor was wonderful!

Now how many people could come up with rhymes for junction? And canine malfunction leaves a lot to the imagination. I hope the vet can cure his malfunction.

My Harely likes to catch snakes that roam into our yard. I understand. I am a fan of Limericks and had fun reading this writing prompt entry. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Hi Robert! This is a humorous Limerick, love the rhyming:-) My cat caught a snake a couple of days ago - carried it to our front door and expected us to let her bring it in.
I like your poem, but I wonder if you posted it as a poem instead of prose if it wouldn't be more impactful. You could play with font style and size (a lot of old eyes on this site), background color, etc. You should try playing around with it when you have time.
Wanted to read something of yours since you were so kind to read my last post.
Take care and have a great weekend. Keep doggie away from the snakes!

Oh my! And I like your allusion to the TV add "dysfunction". Limericks are perfect for a bit of humor and hope that the doggie survived okay. Best wishes in the contest!

A clever play on words in your final line. It's a fine limerick, and an enjoyable read. Very cute dog in the photo. Best wishes for the contest.

That was so cute! We had a Jack Russell that was a mighty snake killer. I unearthed a nest of garden snakes. Seemed like a million of them. She snapped their necks and finally Mom bit her, then snapped Mom's neck too. Loved your Limerick.

This limerick, Doggy Gets a Bite, has the proper formatting and leaves a dog snake-bit and wishing that he had been a better biter than the biter that bit him.
