I was just one of the bellhops. I was the other one with the biceps. I see one thing to question. I was told that when I post a short story or chapter on this site, I was NOT to indent. That is one thing I have to correct EVERY time I post. I will not be contributing to this novel, I have fewer inhibitions than the usual guy. These prompts are so cool. I'm curious, how can I start my own contest?

There are two ways to do the contest. If you go the traditional route, just click the "Contest" icon - in white lettering beneath "Reviews" to the right of your screen - then click "Create a Contest" and follow the prompts. The participants pay a fee to FS, and the proceeds for the winner come from that.
The way Gretchen and I have done it, we choose whose stories we like the most (no one else gets a vote), and we are supplying the prize money from our own pockets.
Now, I did not ever heard that no-indentations rule! And no one has ever corrected me accordingly! Interesting. Why are they picking on you, I wonder?? Do you want me to go beat them up for you?...
You HAVE to post! Surely you can see that we're missing uninhibited contributors!! Come on, Eean! Give it your special touch. You could come away fifty FS dollars richer!!

This was the night of a million stars, as predicted, as the noted assemblage of the Fanstory contributors appear, as if called into a publisher's office to pick up a wheelbarrow of cash and a side order of sixes. So funny from start to finish, and I assume Jane's arrival will lead to an extended story. Terrific time. I'm pondering my piece.

What a funny idea! I loved every word. I was a little disappointed at your disclaimer that every outfit was described to you by people in the story. When I saw that you put Bill Schott in a tangerine blazer over a pea green shirt, I thought, "How does she do this?" That is so Bill! Oh well, maybe Bill dressed himself, but the John Travolta part was all you. And perfect.
Hate that I missed being in the story. With overnight company who wanted to eat at home almost every meal, I have not dared look at FanStory.

Now I understand. As much as I SOOO, so wanted you to be in the chapter, I didn't want to nag you by sending a "friendly reminder" after my initial invitation. I hope your guests took you and your husband out at least ONCE during their stay, oh, Scullery Wench! Sheesh!
Still,,,,you COULD write a chapter to contribute to the fun, though! Deadline's not until tomorrow at midnight, and I KNOW you could make the book rock-star fun and pizzazzy with your prowess!! Pleeeeease? At least think about it. That way, you're still part of the fun!

I used to have a business making and designing attire, actually - for size 4 children and under. I loved it!

What a fabulous idea. I want to be there! I am such a novice on this site, but recognize most of the people you describe so well. The only conventions I have ever been to are medical. No alcohol for participants attending classes, won't get our credits. I can't wait to read all the entries. Esther

We decided not to go, because someone stole our designer gowns and we were left with jeans and t shirts until our wardrobes could be replenished. lol. Even reading your story in my cozy abode, I feel horribly undressed.
Were there any dogs there?
