You did well listing a parade of Fanstorians in your post! I am honored by your kind words but I assume the red wine went perfectly with my burgundy dress so I'm not worried. Glad you joined in the fun. Now that I'm back, I'll have to think of something but I'll be answering the door all night tomorrow...

Thank you. I worried that I had ruined your outfit.

Well, I'm glad to be included, though ultimately being relegated brainless and up against the wall. I suppose that's better than whatever you did to Clyde. I am learning a bit more about the FUNstorians as I read these various extensions of the premise. Nicd job, Wayne.

Thank you. Everybody got their brains back at the end of the story.

Really funny, Wayne. Loved how you intermixed your current story with this one via your "ray gun." Very clever. I also loved your characterizations of so many of your fellow FanStorians.
What a fun story this has been and a great idea of our hosts to open up this novel to some additions by the readers. You gotta love this website.

Thank you for the great review.

Well, when you set out to send them to the wall you don't miss many. LOL. I almost feel like I've been out traveling the highways for 40 days and nights. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you.
I appreciate it again!

Jim is capable of making a new brain for me? I wish he would, as my current brain doesn't work as quickly as it used to. I'll have him get right on that:-)
I agree with you on Bill Schott's weird color combination - he needs a timeout for that one, lol!
This is a clever mish-mash of your current storyline and that of the convention, using characters Rachelle and Gretchen have used. I liked your bit on Wendy and her dog. Sunny is there to help us all feel better if the alcohol and in-person reviews don't work.
You're quick with a story!
Thanks for taking the bait.

I'm a bait-taker from way back. (smiley face here)
Thank you for your very nice review.
Rachelle and Gretchen did a great job with their project.
Lawrence Block and Donald Westlake collaborated on a novel, writing alternate chapters. Block killed off a character Westlake had just introduced. Westlake would not do another.
-
Were they writers on this site? I've never heard of either. Hey, you have to roll with what your collaborator gives you, right?
-
No, they are very popular humor/crime authors.
Block - Burglar in the Rye
Westlake - Why Me?
Of course the two wrote many more, but those two will paint the picture.

VERY creative, and I laughed my way through this. I have just posted my chapter too - poor Sunny got left behind. He could never manage 27 hours in a crate in the cargo section of a plane! I thought your interweaving with your trucking story was excellent! (And I also loved the 5-7-5 parade of 17 FS people. Very witty!) This book has been the greatest fun, especially being able to add a chapter!

Thank you. I knew you could take it!
Rachelle and Gretchen did a magnificent job.
Thank you for the six stars!

Very funny and you made everyone laugh, I am certain. Nothing like a broad amusement to add levity to our serious attempts to be (or at least pretend) we are real writers.

Way to go, Wayne! Even got that ray gun and put it to use. You got to see a lot more friends from FanStory then I did...I didn't get there until they were being arrested. Your story and the others will be a lot of fun. Good luck in the contest and watch out for those who are trying to put you on trial.

I don't know what that was all about but I caught my name with you and all those legends of Writing prowess and so had to give this a six. And, no, I don't want you to kill Clyde. I want to see another story next season, this time with a longer life.

Thank you immensely for the six stars.
Rachelle Allen and Gretchen Hargis teamed up and wrote a piece with each writing separate versions of the same story (2 women whose car broke down in Amish country while traveling to a FanStory convention. Upon completion, they offered Reviewers an opportunity to write their version of the last chapter.
I couldn't leave you out.

I am very honored!
