Hi Judi,
I have read a few of these stories of the Fanstory Convention, and they are so special. I have really enjoyed them. Wouldn't it be great to have a real convention, and meet each other? This reminded me of last December's review I wrote for your play, "A Fanstory Christmas Carol", which was held in your hometown of Terre Haute, Indiana. It was fun to write, including a few characters from our humble writing community. We writers are so spread out over North America and beyond our shores, though. Where would Tom hold such a get-together?
Nicely penned! Such a good idea!
Hugs,
Kimbob

Thanks for your review and comments. Yes, I remember that post you wrote. It was delightful. Maybe you could re-post that one for this Christmas, or do you have to wait longer for it to be a revival? Rachelle and Gretchen had a great idea, and it really sparked interest among the FS members. (We really like to write about ourselves.) I believe you've given me an idea for a Christmas script, by the way. judi

I can hardly wait to read it, Judi! I love Christmas, as you know. I've already started pasting Christmas scenes as the background on my computer when not in use. Right now, it's Charlie Brown and Snoopy with a Christmas tree! Only 53 days until the big day!
Hugs,
Kimbob

I like Christmas, but we also have to prepare for Thanksgiving her in the U.S. I have more than enough Christmas decorations to make do this year. judi

Sounds like you had some real fun at the Fanstorian Convention, Judi. Everyone I have read did a swell write up of the shindig and I hope everyone else was able to report as well.

Thanks for your review. Some of those who had bad hangovers haven't reported in yet. Rachelle and Gretchen's series has been a major hit on FS. judi

Thanks for your review and comments. Many FS members contributed their own version. One person had me under a table, taking notes throughout the chaos and writing a script about it. judi

Did you read Pome Lover's version? I think you won the script award as you were writing away under the table in hers. We all love your scripts. The only reason I get the monthly prize is due to the number of reviews and not many review scripts.

Thanks so much for your review and comments. A lot of those who wrote their version got a lot more wild and woolly than I did. I could picture you spending your time at the library, trying to learn more about those plants. Hiding under the table and working on a script is probably what I'd be doing. I'd like to stay out of the chaos. There were a lot of responses to the requests for their versions of the big party. It was fun that some included Tom. judi

I think if Dean were alive, he'd definitely add Tom. I miss those guys.

Yes, I read Pome Lover's version. It was fun. Yes, Dean was unique. He is missed. I can just imagine what he'd have done with such a scenario. judi

"Tom didn't mention what for." That is funny!!!
You made some good points bringing out things like Rachelle singing Puccini's O Mio Babbino Caro, and thinking of Rebekah, and individual awards given to members according to their specialties.
Speaking of Humpwhistle and the books, I ended up buying 4 from him which he autographed, for three friends for Christmas, why, I don't know as they read political books or mysteries, and will probably wonder why in the world I would give them to them. May not.
One thing I do wish. I would love to hear Rachelle sing. I had no idea when I first started reviewing her posts that she sang in operas. She is a very talented gal. You are, too, madam! writing scripts and radio shows, acting in them, too. Heavens!
Well, as yo can see, I enjoyed your version very much.

Thanks for your review and comments. Special thanks for that super sixer, too. Some of the versions have been so much wilder than mine and have gotten about twice as many reviews. I hope I'll at least get Honorable Mention for my reference to Rachelle's aria, which she sang for Rebekah earlier in her book. We have to live with the stars among us. I'm so glad you enjoyed my version, and I really thought yours was hilarious. judi

thank you:)

I thoroughly enjoyed Rachelle and Gretchen's book about the FanStory Convention, and all the versions added to the story. I've read at least five versions, and appreciate yours taking a different approach. After you returned home, you give a very vivid overview of things you experienced. I liked the idea of "Tommy Awards." This was a fun read.

Thanks so much for your review and comments. Rachelle and Gretchen's books have received so much attention, Tom just might decide to hold a FS convention. It would be lots of fun! judi

Sounds like a fun filled Fanstory event with many delightful and fun writers from our site here. I like how you opened with usually all are in their pajamas but became glammed up for the Fanstory convention. Probably is an accurate description.

Thanks so much for your review and comments. I think it would be wonderful to have such a convention and meet fellow Fanstorians. Although I probably wouldn't be able to make the trip at my advanced age, It would be great. Maybe Rachelle and Gretchen's series will give Tom ideas. judi

Okay, you're invited to any party i have. Goring Barbara W. Is freaking hilarious. You hit on so many funny one liners and kept this going. Who knows if there will be a convention next year. Tom looked pretty pissed. Lol. Thank you for this. Gretchen

Hi, Gretchen, and thanks for your review and comments. I thoroughly enjoyed the trip, and the party was a blast. I think
Tom should be proud to have assembled such an illustrious (albeit trouble-making) group. Thanks for inviting us along to share your eperience. judi

You did a good job of getting your perspective of the FS Convention. I'm contemplating an addition to the book. I have NEVER participated in one of those here.

Might as well go on and do it. I didn't go outrageous or go overboard as some did. Thanks so much for your review and comments. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. judi

I guess so.
