This is a beautiful milestone post. What a lovely thought to 'keep the child within'. We will never lose the child within us, but sometimes, we forget that there is a child within us--our young self. And what a wonderful reminder this Ruby doll is. A lovely gesture from your daughter to you.

You and your daughter have the right idea. My parents raised my sister and me to never lose the child inside us. To their dying days, neither of my parents ever did.

I always wished I had the money and space to collect beautiful dolls such as Ruby. I only have one, and she wears delicate pink and white lace. It looks as though you've found the perfect spot to let Ruby and her dog add to the beauty of your house.

Just one qualm: Your second line has eight syllables, and not seven. If you just remove the word "the," it will be fine.

Congratulations on your milestone post!

Thanks for your lovely comments I take it you mean the word 'Flowers' I actually say it with one syllabi not two flow-ers

Gotcha. I've never heard it pronounced as a one-syllable word but, if that's how you say it then, yes, the syllable count in fine. You might want to add a note at the end to mention that you're pronouncing the word with one syllable. I've seen others do that with words that could be pronounced in more than one way.

Just must be the way we speak down under I have removed 'the'
