Oh no! I don't know how you balance all of this on the head of a pin...
What I do know is the blood is there, it seems Donatelli is fighting his way out of his fog and I'm stretched tight as a guitar string wording about Lexington!
Onward!

Lexington is a bad guy (much more than Frankie) but he has a soft spot too.... for diamonds! LOL

LOL is right. His heart is as hard as diamonds, I think.

Donatelli's amnesia, for Eleanor, is hard to deal with, considering Jenna's situation. You've shown her emotions well. As for the deal going down, I'm a bit skeptical about that. Well done Carol. Really enjoying these characters.
cheers,

I thought Rossi was so tough the only way to with him was to kill him. I am wondering if everything will go smoothly here. You are writing to story too fast for me to keep up with. I think you'll wrap this book up with not problem.

I don't know...no honor between thieves and all that. Very high suspense. Carol, I was actually running this through my head like a movie as I read it!
A question....Rossi gave them a two-hour notice. Why not just call in the authorities? Is this location a secret because Frankie is a former mobster or something?
One nitpick:
I don't think this phone has rang in years,
(has rung)
On to the next chapter, cause I'm hangin' here!

Poor Donatelli can remember little of the good part of the past and may have trouble trusting that the baby is his. Frankie seems to have less trouble trusting Lexington that I think he should. Or maybe he is prepared to take out all the bad men, except that would ruin his retirement.

Is Lexington trustworthy, instinct says that this man is about as reliable as John Doyle is, but the AB negative is here, and fresh, (I wonder how?) but at least the baby will be safe, and Donatelli, well we'll find out, beautifully written Carol, blessings Roy

Aren't you the shrewd one. You're not letting us know what the deal is. However, lots of other things are taking shape. You have two mobster types trusting each other as businessman. Can't wait to see how this turns out.

Matthew really does need to remember what he and Jenna once had before his accident. It's heartbreaking seeing him speak about Jenna in this way. A well written piece, Carol, I really enjoyed reading it.

Donatelli's brain scrambled like eggs, we just have to wonder how long it's going to be before he comes to any semblance of reality. At the mercy of the torturer with the pen. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Is it though? Hmm. I don't trust him. I cannot see Rossi meakly walking up to Garth and giving himself in, not unless Lexington makes a deal with him as well. The only think Lexi wants is whatever it is that Garth has promised to hand over to him. Once he has that I can see it will be a shootout, or something else, but it won't end with another handshake, I'm sure of that!! Well done, my friend. You are getting there! Love and hugs from Me! :)) xxxx
