Hello Barbara,
I've been busy and not able to review much lately. I just love these stories about your family. God forbid that Mom should have sex after the age of twenty. I can understand his thinking, he was young and immature. I've known men like the guy you were describing. I think they believe they are preparing their boys for manhood, but they're setting an example for what not to do. I hope the boy didn't grow up to be like his father. Well done gal.

People like that are not dads, they don't deserve that title or privilege.
I also have 4 sons by the way :-)
I can fully understand Greg's embarrassment, he was a pubescent kid and parents don't do that sort of thing any more. But it's great the way he stepped in to protect you from yourself.

There is two unescapable facts in life; just because you are physically able to cause pregnancy does not mean you are qualified to be a father, the other is just because you are able to become pregnant, does not mean that you are fit to be a mother. Sadly, this rule is broken countless times. That no adult man who viewed this did anything to at least say something to that man is an indictment of them all.

There is two unescapable facts in life; just because you are physically able to cause pregnancy does not mean you are qualified to be a father, the other is just because you are able to become pregnant, does not mean that you are fit to be a mother. Sadly, this rule is broken countless times. That no adult man who viewed this did anything to at least say something to that man is an indictment of them all.

This seems to me to be a story of family empathy, as your son, who is so estranged from you, ends up declaring how much he cares about you. We also get how much you feel for kids, as this father wacks his kid in the face, for what appears to me to be for no reason. Kids can be frustrating, but they are also vulnerable, and they tug at our heartstrings. estory

I remember seeing a man stomp on his son's leg one time. He grabbed the child who was screaming in pain and bolted. I called for security but was told that they could do nothing. Sad to see an adult act like an ass. Good story. Gretchen

I can very well see why you were angry with that man who would back hand a small child and tell him to take care of it himself. I also got a bit of a chuckle out of the fact that Greg was embarrassed because you were pregnant and he thought moms are not supposed to do what they do to get that way. When my oldest daughter was about six, she wanted to know where babies came from we took her to the library and she got a book and she read it and I asked her if she understood where babies came from and she says I understand that my mom and daddy's kiss they have a baby. So at that point at six years of age, I had to sit down and talk with her and be very correct in the things that I was telling her. Your story is a very good story and I enjoyed it very much. Yes, those incidences of abuse stick with us for life. I remember biting my tongue for as long as I could when a man kept smacking and yanking a kid by his hair. Finally, I told the man if he touched that child again, I'd stomp him all over that store. He let me know it was his kid and he'd discipline him however he saw fit. I said, and if you do, I'll do exactly what I said. I followed them to the parking lot, got his license number, called the police, and later that week, child services. Thanks for sharing. Now you've made me mad all over again. LOL.

I don't blame you for wanting to do something, but you had to be proud of your son for thinking about you and your pregnancy.
He did a great job assessing the situation and that father. I can't blame you for being angry about it. I would have felt the same way.
