It's so good of you to lift up our fellow Fanstorians for prayer. Please keep us updated on these folks. I will be praying for them as well.
I've heard so much about shingles lately, and getting a shot to keep the disease at bay. But I don't like getting so many needles, putting drugs into my body. I'm not going to get any more Covid shots. The only needle I get is the regular flu shot, usually in November from Dr. Keyes. He insists on it. But I have heard that 1 out of 3 people get shingles at some point in their lives, and it's extremely painful. Poor Beth! Hopefully, this will pass quickly.

Thank you for reviewing and praying, Kimbob. I would talk to Dr. Keyes about the shingles vaccine. When my sis-in-law got it, it lasted for months! And you can get shingles in the eye! Once you get shingles, you have to wait six months before getting the vaccine. So I went ahead an got my two-dose vaccine. I know it was awful when I was in my 20's. It's much worse when you're in you're 60s! Hugs and continued prayers for you and your family!

Please take care of your knees. My tai chi teacher told me (she's 70 but she looks 40!) that before she gets out of bed, she sits on the side of the bed and raises each foot 30 times so that her knees get a workout. Boy, I can't do that much exercise before going to the bathroom! I think that process lubricates the knees. I try to do it now before getting up from a sitting position. My knees have been "popping" so I feel I should do more to help this joint. Thanks so much for reviewing, MariVal! Hugs!

thanks so much for the heads up on the various members of our FS family. I know the pain of shingles first hand. I had them when I was only twenty years old when I was in the navy, and then again when I was around sixty. It seems that knees are a common issue with the older crowd. I spoke to an office gal at my knee surgeon's office yesterday. I'm supposed to go in on the 26th for an evaluation on my other knee. I already know it's going to have to be replaced, but they still need to do the x-rays and whatnot. It sure is fun getting old. Just a head's up, I just heard from Marilyn the poet. She just got back from the hospital after taking an ambulance there last Sunday. She didn't expound on why she went, but it must have been fairly serious. We can all use all the prayer we can get. Thanks so much for your caring heart gal.
