Yes this is beautiful and the butterfly's body lies in the middle. Clever. I'm an artist too and I recall you may be. Red and Green are complimentary colors. I am thinking you knew that. This poem and image support each other, perfectly. Wonderful work, Alexandra :)

Yes. I love red and I think this is a great transition from the wolfs and elks to butterflies. The red ones are definitely very bold and the wings are gorgeous. Where did you get the artwork? It's so clear and beautiful.
Well done.

Indeed simply beautiful in photo and in words is this red butterfly. You describe it's bold beauty in such an amazing poetic gesture. I like to see more butterflies in my community.

NOTES TO COPY AND PASTE TO YOUR AUTHOR NOTES
HOW TO WRITE A RENGA POEM:
It's very important to LINK your Renga stanza to the previous stanza keeping the same theme and season of the year.
First copy and paste this link to your browser to check the Renga Book. Your chapter will follow the last chapter: fanstory.com/chapterdetails.jsp?id=42337
FIRST POET - starts with a three-line haiku 5/7/5 that sets the theme and season of the year.
THE SECOND POET writes a 7/7 stanza that links to the previous 5/7/5 chapter with the same theme and season of the year.
This pattern (5/7/5 stanza followed by a 7/7 stanza) continues on and on. Some renga books can be 100 stanzas or more.
To post your chapter, scroll down the renga poem page you are reading. Above the review box click on ADD CHAPTER.

Patricia,
I really like your poem. The photo of the scarlet butterfly, and the beautiful simplicity of your poem. Do butterflies come out in the winter in Arizona? PA's butterflies are somehow staying warm under the frigid ground.

Another great salute to butterflies! I don't think you needed a comma after "lovely". Thank you for another peek into God's wonderful world of nature. Hope you have more prepared for us.
