There is a lot of emotion in this piece as always, and you do a brilliant job of bringing it to life on the page. I really hope Antonio can help in finding Miriam, although it sounds like he'll need to overcome several obstacles himself to achieve that. Another brilliant chapter, Carol.

Carol,
Another great chapter of your book. It appears the Webb family is full of slime balls. I wonder what Eleanor if going to do about the youngest Webb. He seems like he is nothing but trouble. Keep writing my friend I want to see how this all turns out.
Have a wonderful day my friend.
Love ya lots,
Cecilia

The confrontation between Cornelius and Antonio worked well, Carol. Rebecca is much braver than I would be in her situation. Wasn't surprised about Grayson's smirk. Well done Carol.
Cheers

Antonio has come, he has heard Miriam's calling. He doesn't really know what is going on, but he has discovered wicked Cornelius and stood up to him. Rebecca naturally accepts comfort from Grayson, but his smirk suggests he is no better than Cornelius.

Cornelius and Grayson are two slippery snakes slithering from different angles in an attempt to manipulate Miriam and Rebecca into giving up their property. However, both ladies are shrewd enough to not give in to their lies. Plus, Grayson had better be careful. Garth has already verbalized a threat to anyone attempting to harm Rebecca.
Wow! You have multiple fights in the ring with strong opponents in all four corners.

Wow! Now you've ramped this one up a tad, hangings in an old oak tree. I like it. It puts me thinking deeper than this old brain can usually go. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

This is eleventy stories mixed up in a growing cauldron of bubbling conspiracies.
I love it, Carol.
I do so enjoy the way you take a thread, add another, tangle them up then tie a third and a fourth into the knot.
I look forward to being able to view the final tapestry.

Now you know the secret of my writing...My mother and grandmother always wanted me to crochet and knit...it just wasn't my style. So I told my mother that I did it with my story lines...LOL Like you said, a thread here, a thread there, tie a knot and bring it all together.

Rebecca needs Eleanor and Garth right now. This Trevor isn't a good guy. I can't wait to learn more about Antonio. This is another good write.
His voice was ragged. (His voice ragged. I want to put a comma there but not sure, but omit the 'was' for sure.)
Eleanor stepped closer, her voice softening. "You came here. (softening,)

Antonio's determination against Cornelius is so well told. I could almost feel the tension crackling between them. The contrast between Grayson's charm and Eleanor's distrust builds the mystery even more. Your characters are interesting and keeping me hooked. You've set up a world brimming with secrets. I can't wait to see how it unfolds!

Thank, Michawl. I am thrilled to see you returning and enjoying the story. It's a bit more complicated than the other ones, but I think we can work our way through it, especially when every thing ties together... Thanks again.
