Hello, Sandra, the fires are very close but we are still okay. We haven't gotten a warning to evacuate yet. We all have our things ready to go in case we have to go. It's a miracle the fires haven't reached us. Thank you for asking. I hope you are well.

I've always though owls are really beautiful creatures and I love hearing their hoot of a night, I sometimes hear them where I live. An excellent piece, I enjoyed reading it.

And of course this relates to California and its horrifying inferno there at the moment. One can't help but think of all the wildlife caught up in this hell in which the fires spreads out of control as emergency services prioritise human life. Thank you for sharing this poignant Renga verse. Debbie
