Things are getting pretty steamy for Noah and Sami, yet they are keeping it all innocent. I like the way you add in church and values into your chapters, yet have an interesting story as well.
I'm glad you reminded us of what happened with Ella, because I had forgotten. I knew the name sounded familiar, but...
Great story,
Hugs,
Rhonda

This was a very nice post, Barb. No problems with the bad guys, and we are getting closer to where Sami and Noah are going to get together. Hopefully we will have wedding bells.

I haven't read the earlier chapters, but I feel I've got the gist of things just from this intetesting chapter. I love the writing about the romance between Noah and Sami because it's so sweet and protective. If I was her I'd be stressed and worried and she's not. That's the only thing that stood out to me.
I'm no expert. I just love romance novels that aren't perfect.
This was so fun to read. Bravo on being almost done!

Thank you for the kind review. Sami has been through a lot up to this point. She's beginning to understand.

Gotcha! I'm glad she's at a good point!
Great writing!

Wow! You are moving right along, with another novel almost finished. Let's get Sami returned to her job and living a normal life. That sounds like a big security detail. She has already shown she can take care of threatening situations. Sounds like a wonderful trip to Galveston. I've been there a few times when we lived in Texas. It would have been fun to see the dolphins. In the line "I didn't say I was going too," I think you mean going to. Again, I think your main story was Sami in protective custody. All the side trips, etc. are nice but don't seem part of the plot. judi

Barbara,
Another great chapter to your book. It's coming along nicely. Noah is such a gentleman for keeping his word to Sami's dad. They seem to have a great relationship, but I feel something is going to happen.

Congratulations! You did a fantastic job of drawing the reader into the romance and the experience as they watched the dolphins from the boat and continued their walk along the shore. Noah is teaching Sami to be alert, and she is teaching him how to embrace the moment yet stay safe. Very well done.

The chapter beautifully develops the romance and emotional connection between Noah and Sami while subtly advancing the suspenseful plot. A bit more tension or foreshadowing could elevate the narrative to fully balance romance and suspense.

Nice chapter. Not sure about the enemies thing. There are lots of cops, DEA, FBI and such that have families. He's not Spiderman.
notes:
"I left my jacket in the car. If we have time to walk along the seawall, I'll remember it.["]
-add
He leaned over and kissed her forehead. "Everything all right?"
- I think you should count how many times people ask this about your female protagonist. You may be surprised.
"I promised your dad, I'd keep you safe. That includes safe from me. I'll see you in the morning."
-But you never explain why she wouldn't be safe. Especially, if the marry someday. Not, saying the have to do anything, but for adults there should be a reason. A normal woman has needs and would think, she isn't desired.
